YooSu fanart for "Home to Stay"  
Pairing: YooSu (Yoochun/Junsu)
Fandom: DBSK
Rating: G
Warnings: Of course not. Unless you have fluff allergies.

Notes: As is probably clear to most people who have read Bel's fic, this fanart is a reinterpretation of this picture, presumably from the photoshoot at the end of the story. However, you may have noticed some differences that are the products of my artistic license. :)

For example, the clothes have been slightly simplified, and Junsu's collar has been drawn lower than it was in the original pic, because I wanted to be able to reveal a hint of the nape of his neck. In this, more bare skin isn't about sex appeal -- although you may certainly interpret it that way if you want to -- it's about a heightened sense of intimacy between the two subjects, a casual manner of dress that should make it evident that they are immensely comfortable with each other's presence, both physically and emotionally.

I also got rid of Yoochun's watch. Because it's obviously a woman's watch. XD;; No, in actuality, I omitted it so that it wouldn't draw attention away from the central point of the picture, which is the two hands clasped together. As far as the positions of the hands go, I did my best to reproduce them as faithfully as possible; there is nothing I would wish to change about them. The cradling curves of the wrists ... the way the tips of the thumbs just barely brush each other ... is it possible for two hands to kiss each other?

admittedly i'd have loved to see another undrawn scene like...the ending bit when chun wanted to go home or hospital scene with susu hugging chun but this is so so pretty tooooooo *__* PIMP HAT 8D *dies*

I was seriously contemplating a number of other scenes -- the hospital one among them -- not the least because that would have been safer for me, since then there would have been no reference pic for anyone to compare my fanart to and say, "Hey, wait, you got ____ and ____ all wrong!!" XD;; But I ended up sticking with this one, because the moment, the lyrics, the blatant YooSu-ness of it, were all simply too perfect to be passed up.

8D Yessss, the Pimp Hat. Another article I was thinking about omitting, along with the watch, but I just didn't have the heart to in the end. It's a part of Chun, that hat.

^-^; I would tell you to go to bed at a more decent hour and rest your poor head, but that would make me a terrible hypocrite, seeing as I specialize in sleeping at the most indecent hours, and midnight for me is the exception, not the rule (the rule being 2 AM or further wee hours of the morning). So I will simply say thank you for your compliment/comment, and let's just tell those pesky little adjectives to take a hike, because who needs them when we've got hearts? ♥

"Mood, MOOD!! I can't get across the right MOOD for this thing!" *realizes that she is listening to His Infernal Majesty and working in the pitch-darkness of her room* "... Oh. Well, that would explain it." *puts on honey-sweet DBSK songs instead, and turns on her desk lamp*

And then, when I was ready to post this, I realized that I had gone back to listening to H.I.M. again. XD;; So much for mood.

WOW! is all I can say right now. What an amazing pic. And it fits with what you wanted too. You find the intimacy more appealing than the whole sex appeal....although the sex appeal is an added bonus. ^_^;; ::shot::

I really like your picture without a doubt...I like to draw and can, but I'm still only drawing anime, cartoons. I wish I could draw like you it's really good.

And, I got what you were going with by taking and adding some stuff to the pic. I got the feeling XD I geuss you could say.

Thanks! Oh, you draw as well? Any particular fandoms you like to draw for? 8D I also do fanarts for some anime/manga fandoms (Fullmetal Alchemist, Inuyasha, Juvenile Orion, etc.), so go ahead and take a look at some of that, if you like. It's all here in my journal, and none of the fanart posts are locked. Also, tell me if you have any criticisms; I always appreciate concrit. ^-^

More often than not, I try to avoid drawing hands because I find them much harder to draw than faces -- so when I started drawing this and realized that the hands would be the focal point of the entire picture, I nearly proceeded to tear at my hair in despair. And then I told myself to suck it up and just DO it, and, well, this is the result. XD;; Thus, I'm delighted (and quite relieved) that you like it.

Haha, thank you in any case. Well, there had been a lingering little voice that asked me, "Huh, I wonder where American Gods went ..." whenever I chanced an idle glance at my bookshelf (which is in a horrible state of disarray at present), but I had forgotten that you had it. I am very proud of being obsessed (if the obsession comes back to bite me later on in life, I'll worry about that when the time comes), so you're right on that count. ^-^ Thanks. Now I just have to wait for the day when DBSK will be wandering casually around LA ... preferably somewhere in Westwood Village or on/near the UCLA campus ...
