The good, the bad, and the decidedly odd

The good: ... ... ... I forget. I'll get back to that.

The bad: T_T I think my writing muse (if ever I had one) has officially died, been cremated, and then had her ashes flushed down the toilet because I'm too cheap to bother with a funeral service. But I'm still drawing, so I guess I'll just rely on fanarts to get me by here. Oh! That reminds me of what the good part was!

The good (take two): I got a tablet a couple of days ago! *joyful jig* That should help in resolving a few of my more persistent artistic nightmares, and make working in Photoshop less of a pain in the bud. Now I just need to get used to it; I used poor Jaejoong for practice the first day I got it, and thus this little thing was born:

(I had a particular picture of Jae that I used for reference to draw his hair, but I now I can't find it for the life of me ... but it was a "Dating on Earth" one, I think.)

The decidedly odd: Well, I'm here -- I guess that counts as being pretty odd in itself. I'm still as disturbingly obsessed with DBSK as before (boy, was I delighted to find so many unofficial DBSK goodies when I was in China for three weeks!). Yes. Utterly incomprehensible. But there you go, stress-free summer has done some strange numbers on my head.

XD Oh yes, I certainly have seen that comic (though I hadn't seen the latest installment, so thanks for the heads up, that just made my morning roughly a hundred times better). It brings me joy in a world of darkness, except that I don't exactly live in a world of darkness, so actually it just brings me joy.

Not abandoned, just...on hold, I think. I've somehow managed to shift into the much-needed schoolcomesfirst!attitude, and I probably need to stay that way until my grades come up. T_T

But I'll always have time to talk to dani! And don't worry about the fics - they'll get done; someday, one day, or maybe just never >D

8D;; Maybe it is written in stone somewhere that at this point in time, an anime fandom must fatefully arise at random to capture our interest. But anyway, that explains that criminally cute FMA icon of yours; I happen to like that anime series a great deal, and I suspect the only reason it didn't become a bigger preoccupation with me was because the less ... er, "intellectual" ... alright, the drive-me-insane-with-their-stupidity FMA fans at my school basically talked the poor show to death. -_-;;

Anyway. I probably need to get a grip on the academics-first attitude too, since my first day of school at UCLA is coming up at the end of September (most UC colleges start later than is typical). So in that respect, I advocate your approach.

And finally ... v_v;; I knew that tagline thing would get used against me sooner or later. Boo, I only like irony/poetic justice/divine retribution when it isn't happening to me!! *flails*

^-^ Heck, sure, toss some FMA fics my way. Let's see how good my memory is. You see, I borrowed the entire anime series from a friend, watched it all within a few weeks -- and realized that it was actually the entire series MINUS THE LAST EPISODE. So I watched that final episode on my laptop (my friend found it eventually) quite a while afterwards. So it's all a bit vaguely pieced together in my head. But I do recall enough to work with, I'm sure. Do you like any particular pairing in the fandom? Lemme see, from what I learned from the fanfics and occasional doujinshi pages my friend printed out and showed me, the most canon pairing is Roy/Ed, right? And then there's Hughes/Roy, and Envy/Ed or Ed/Al for those who like a bit of kink and/or incest in their yaoi ....

I haven't been up to too much lately, really. The biggest recent development is my tablet, of course, which I am currently devoting to NaraSess fanarts (I drew two more since you saw that first one) and random doodles that I don't bother to publicize, heh. And then I've been reading books (both novels and manga) like crazy, and I've been playing a yaoi game called Absolute Obedience.

Oh, and shopping and turning in stuff for college, of course. Sorting out scholarships, immunization shot records, all that junk. @_@ And you? Busy with uni life, I take it?

Haha. I always knew about the series; my friend babbled about it to me two years ago but it wasn't until my sister borrowed manga home that I picked up one book and read and went O_O! And so I got the manga, borrowed the anime and movie, and...8D

ROYED! Bcz they are so...squishy cute and amusing. *conveniently ignores the ed/winry hints in manga/anime*

The game Absolute Obedience is an original one, released with text translated into English (but voices still in the original Japanese) by Langmaor/JAST USA. It's a sort of "dating sim" type game that has nearly a hundred different endings (best endings rated A, good endings B, poor endings C, and worst endings D), and I've played the whole thing through now and mapped them all out. XD Er, yes, lots of free time this summer what with having no summer homework for once. Here are some wallpapers for the game, if you're curious:

The game has to be purchased. v_v;; One of my friends bought it for me at Anime Expo, since I couldn't go there myself (I was in China then). And ... there's a FMA yaoi RPG?? O.O

Maybe, MAYBE I'll draw Roy/Ed, if the fics you linked me to inspire me enough to start doing character studies. But that's only if you don't mind my drawing them in my current dark-ish, edgier style. ^-^;
